Donations:
Thank you to all the donations we have recieved in the first 6 months of 2011.
One such donation of $1,237 was recived from the Canadian Women's Foundation for Crossroads Women's Shelter & Resource Center . The donation was a portion of the proceeds from the seventh annual CWF Shelter from the storm campaing.Working with their parntners Winners and Home Sense and Roger's Media, the campain took place from April11 to May 8th, 2011. The first step to managing anger approriately in our personal relationships, is the identification of the mistaken attitudes & convictions that
pre-dispose us to being excessivly angry in the first place! Learn to de-stress by understanding your anger cues & triggers.
People are not born with angry genes.
Violent behavior is often modeled within the family, community or media
Violence does not usually occur because of a lack of caring...
It is often a result of feeling out of control; the violence becomes a way of regaining some control.

Circle of Friends :
The Circle of Friends is an outreach program for youth. This program has the following objectives
and can facillitated to one or many at the same time.
- To recognize their own resilience
- To recognize behaviors that interfere with friendship.
- To identify friendship behaviors they would like to develop
- To learn new stratagies to deal effectively with kids that bully others
- To learn positive assertive skills and enhance self-esteem.
- To learn respect of self and others.
